Getting started
AeroCast runs on Windows 10 (version 2004 or newer) and Windows 11. It turns the PC into a screen-mirroring receiver for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and other Windows PCs, and it can also cast the PC's screen out to AirPlay, Chromecast and Miracast displays.
Install
- Download the installer from the download page. It includes everything it needs; there is nothing else to install.
- Run it. Windows SmartScreen may say "unknown publisher" the first time until the installer is code-signed; choose More info, then Run anyway.
- When Windows Defender Firewall asks, allow AeroCast on private networks. Phones cannot reach the PC without it.
- Start AeroCast. The status line at the top shows when it is ready to receive.
Receive from a device
- iPhone, iPad or Mac: Connect an Apple device.
- Android: Connect an Android phone.
- Another Windows PC: Connect a Windows PC.
Your phone and the PC must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest networks and some office networks block devices from seeing each other; see Troubleshooting.
Cast out from this PC
Open the Cast tab, choose what to cast (the screen, one window, or a region), pick a TV or display, and press Start. See Cast to a TV.
Plans
Every account starts with a free 7-day Pro trial: sign in to AeroCast for the first time and every feature is on, with no credit card needed. When it ends, choose Lite, Basic or Pro to keep using AeroCast. Basic adds window and region casting and recording, and Pro adds 60 fps casting and approval of each sender. See pricing. To start the trial or use a plan, open Settings, Account and Plan in AeroCast and press Sign in.
